Syncing Samsung Blackjack with select in-car navigation systems

For some in-car navigation systems, a Samsung Blackjack running (primarily) WM5 may not sync properly.

This is displayed through an inability to remain connected via Bluetooth (connects, 5 seconds later refuses to connect). This is not a fix for downloading the phone’s address book.

To make the fix, use a mobile phone registry editor, like Mobile Registry Editor and then delete
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\NoAutoConDevice and everything beneath it.

The Bluetooth connection should be stable and not drop after 10 seconds like it did prior to the hack.

If you’d like the full functionality of an address book accessible via the in-car navigation you need to perform the upgrade process to Windows Mobile 6. I did this upgrade last night (took about an hour) and once it was complete I established a new connection with the navigation. Viola! The address book is now working perfectly.
